Fall is a traditionally time to let things go, but we’re just getting started with several new classes, weekend workshops, and the next book in The Lightbearers series.
CLASSES & WORKSHOPS
We had so much fun last spring with Chuck Wendig’s “The Kick-Ass Writer” that we’ve decided to tackle “Damn Fine Story” for our fall 8-week Creative Writing class at FoxTale Book Shoppe in Woodstock. Tuesdays, September 18 through November 6, 6-7:30 pm. Click here for more information, or to register.
And our Soul Coaching classes (based on the book by Denise Linn) was such a popular series that we’re offering it again at a brand-new venue, the award-winning Center for Energy Healing in Roswell, Georgia, beginning in October. Thursdays, October 4 through November 29 (skipping November 22 for Thanksgiving) 6-7:30 pm. Click here for more information or to register.
We’ve been offering a plethora of classes at Kennesaw State University through the OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute) department, including Memoir-Writing and Creative Writing. Eight Wednesdays, beginning October 3. We’ll also be offering a preview of our Spring classes at the Fall OLLI Sampler on Monday, October 15, from 2-3 pm.
If you’ve been writing a story and want to receive some feedback, try our Critique Workshop at FoxTale Book Shoppe on Saturday, October 13 from 1-4 pm. Bring up to 2,500 words of your writing to read aloud to fellow participants, and receive gentle yet powerful verbal and written feedback to help you discover what works well and what needs tweaking.
For those who need a kick-in-the-rear to start or continue your writing project, Creative Writing Boot Camp is for you. Three hours of fast-paced writing, using prompts designed to pluck you right out of your comfort zone and give your project a creative boost. At FoxTale Book Shoppe.
BOOK RELEASE
The anticipated 6th installment in the popular The Lightbearers: Affirmation series is finally here! The Lightbearers: Mnemonic dives deep into the current and past lives of the Dragon Sisterhood, introduces two new sisters, and provides insight into some of the mnemonic devices that will help Cara, Harmony, Patience, Karen, Esperanza, Vera, and the rest remember who they are and why they have been called together again.
Join us at the Milton Literary Festival on Saturday, November 10. Mnemonic will be available for purchase, as will the first five in the series (Awake, Found, Fealty, Intuition, and Reunion), in case you want to start the series or share with a friend.
Hope to see you in class and at the Festival!.
Happy Writing!
